Owa Delivery Services began by carrying meals from Badagry kitchens. The riders were already on the road, so we started carrying everything else too.
What we do
Owa connects customers with local vendors and delivers the result. That covers cooked food, cooking gas refills, pharmacy and chemist items, groceries and market runs, and point-to-point parcels within our coverage area. You build the order on our menu page and the finished order arrives with our team on WhatsApp as a single message.
Why a website and a chat, not an app
Most of our customers already have WhatsApp open, and most have limited phone storage and patchy data. Asking them to download an app, create an account and remember a password would lose more people than it served. So the menu lives on a light web page anyone can open, and the conversation that follows happens where they already are.
Building the order on the page first matters more than it sounds. By the time the message reaches us it already names the area, the service, the vendor, every item and every quantity. Nobody has to describe a meal in words, and nothing gets lost between what was meant and what was typed.
How an order runs
- You open the menu, pick your area, then a service, then a vendor.
- You add your items. The running total for items and packaging updates as you go.
- One tap sends the whole order to WhatsApp as a single message.
- We confirm with the vendor that everything is available before you pay anything.
- You get the full price broken down — items, packaging, service charge and delivery.
- You pay by transfer, quoting your order number, and send the receipt.
- We confirm payment, the vendor prepares, and a rider in your zone collects it.
- You get the rider's name and number, and a message when the order arrives.
For vendors
Vendors receive orders on their own phone, confirm availability with one tap, and mark an order ready when it is. There is nothing to install and no dashboard to learn. Your menu goes live on our site the same day. If a vendor runs their own dispatch rider, that rider is offered the job first.
For riders
Riders are assigned by zone, so jobs land with someone already nearby. Every job carries the pickup address, the vendor's phone number, the drop-off address and a map pin where the customer has chosen to share one. Riders confirm delivery in the same chat.
Who we are
Owa Delivery Services is registered in Nigeria under business name Owa Delivery Services (BN 9517031), operating from Badagry, Lagos State. Our aim is narrow and practical: make local vendors reachable, and make delivery dependable enough that people stop planning their day around errands.
How the service was built
This website and the WhatsApp ordering system behind it were designed and developed for us by Guwit Technology Solutions Ltd (RC 9040112), a technology company registered in Nigeria. Owa Delivery Services owns and operates the service; Guwit built the software that runs it.
